The roundtable provides an informal forum for GIS staff from member utilities to discuss GIS related topics.

Interpersonal Supervisory Skills III builds on the principles and techniques learned in Interpersonal Supervisory Skills I and II.

This is a 5-day hands-on advanced level lab, which may be taken as a part of the Electrical Metering Certification Program.

Effective Safety Culture Through Leadership Direction and Support

An opportunity for your whole organization to participate in a program that takes the safety dialogue to entirely new levels.  The facilitator has broken the sessions into four discussion areas:

• Communicating Safety Across the Utility​
• The Barometer – Gauge for Safety Programs and Tools​
• Elements of an Effective Safety Program​
• Leadership Commitment​

This program is intended for all levels of your organization from the craft worker to the director.  It is designed to provide foundational information that can fit into organizations of any size.

Who should attend?  EVERYONE. This program approaches your safety culture at a foundational level, providing participants with a common understanding and language upon which your program can thrive.

Lineman Apprenticeship Pre-Apprentice Assessment Workshop is part of the TVPPA Apprenticeship Lineman Training Program.

This certification series provides courses specifically designed for lineworker personnel. It is a good fit for up and coming leaders or those already in the role. It provides crew leaders and general foremen with the knowledge and tools to lead crews efficiently, responsibly, and safely. The course will be presented by certified training specialists from Tennessee Valley Public Power Association (TVPPA).

• Foreman Academy Certification – Track 3

The Substation Roundtable provides a forum for substation related crews to exchange ideas on operating practices, safety, training, tools and equipment, and other common issues.

This class will examine the important aspects of the purchasing world and how it relates to local power companies.
