FMPA offers training workshops on many topics

Subjects can include safety, environmental, electrical distribution or general utility management. Many courses give Certified Public Accountants and registered Professional Engineers the opportunity to earn continuing education credits to maintain their licenses.

Safety Training

Electric lineworkers work rain or shine in dangerous conditions to deliver reliable electricity

To support these hometown heroes, FMPA offers a variety of safety training programs. Options include:

  • Monthly interactive lineworker safety meetings conducted by experienced utility safety professionals
  • Semi-annual Lineman’s Roundtable, which allows crews to exchange ideas on operating practices, safety, training, tools and equipment, and any other common issues
  • Three levels of comprehensive training programs that enable lineworkers to advance their skills and their careers
