FMPA supports Help Now of Osceola through United Way’s Days of Caring

ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 23, 2013 – Employees of Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA) provided helping hands for Help Now of Osceola, a domestic violence shelter and advocacy center in Osceola County, Fla. The project was completed Sept. 20 in support of the Heart of Florida United Way’s Days of Caring, Central Florida’s largest community-wide volunteer event, which is scheduled for Sept. 27.

“The experience of serving our neighbors supports our organization’s community-minded culture,” said FMPA General Manager and CEO Nicholas P. Guarriello. “FMPA was founded on the idea of improving the quality of life in the communities we serve.”

This is FMPA’s fifth year partnering with Help Now of Osceola. FMPA’s projects this year included fence repair, furniture assembly, painting, closet organization and other routine maintenance.

“We’re proud to be able to lend a helping hand to an organization that brings hope and empowerment to families in need,” Guarriello said.
