Strategic Plan Approved by FMPA Members

ORLANDO, Fla., March 30, 2009 – Members of the Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA) approved a strategic plan Thursday that defines the Agency’s goals and strategies for the future.

“This plan is the culmination of hard work and dedication from FMPA’s members,” said Interim General Manager Nicholas Guarriello. “It will lead us from where we are today to where we want to be tomorrow.”

FMPA’s members participated in a two-day strategic planning workshop. During the workshop, members decided to create a vision statement and modify the existing mission and values statements. Five long-term goals were established and strategies were recommended to achieve the goals.

“This plan confirms our commitment to providing reliable power, at an affordable price, in an environmentally responsible manner, while also being an exceptional employer,” said Guarriello. “I look forward to working with FMPA members and staff to achieve our goals.”
