Communication tool shares the value of joint action with the public
ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 24, 2015 – Florida’s locally owned electric utilities celebrate today the 37th anniversary of an organization that enables them to work together for the mutual benefit of their customers.
In honor of the milestone, this organization, known as the Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA), released today an infographic that describes to the public the value of municipal utilities working together through joint action. These benefits include:
- Decreasing rates more than 20% since 2009
- Managing the resources to power more than 330,000 average homes
- Offering more than two dozen member services
