Financial report honored by industry peers for creativity and communication

ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 24, 2012 – Florida Municipal Power Agency’s (FMPA) fiscal 2011 Annual Report received an award from the American Public Power Association today at the association’s Customer Connections Conference in Indianapolis, Ind.

“Open, transparent communication with our customers is a hallmark of public power, so it feels great to be recognized by our peers,” said FMPA General Manager and CEO Nicholas P. Guarriello.

FMPA received APPA’s Award of Merit for utilities with gross revenues of $400 million or more. The reports were judged on ingenuity and creativity in copy, design, financial data, graphics, organization, and communicating the utility’s special story.
