Annual Report Honored as One of Nation’s Best
ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 28, 2009 – Florida Municipal Power Agency’s (FMPA) annual financial report received the top award in a national annual report contest conducted by the American Public Power Association.
FMPA’s 2008 annual financial report titled, Voice of the People, won the Award of Excellence in the category for the nation’s largest public power utilities. This category includes public power utilities with annual revenues of $400 million or more.
Awards were judged based on the effectiveness of the copy, design, financial data, creativity, graphics, organization and communicating the utility’s story.
The 24-page report features customers from several FMPA member cities, highlighting that people are the real source of power at FMPA. By working together, FMPA’s people will find solutions to balance reliable power at an affordable price in an environmentally friendly manner. The report is available online.
The 2008 annual report was designed by Merge Inc., an Atlanta-based communications and interactive agency, and the copy was written by FMPA staff.
