Volunteers Add Splash of Color to Brighten the Lives of Children
FMPA Employees Support Community Coordinated Care for Children in Day of Caring
ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 30, 2016 – Employees of the Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA) painted walls today at Community Coordinated Care for Children (4C) in Kissimmee as part of Heart of Florida United Way’s Day of Caring.
This is FMPA’s eighth year participating in Day of Caring, Central Florida’s largest volunteer event. This year’s project involved painting accent walls at the offices of 4C, who provides school readiness, childhood development and other services that improve the lives of children and families.
“Supporting communities is part of FMPA’s culture,” said FMPA General Manager and CEO Jacob Williams. “Whether it’s our day job of providing low-cost wholesale power to communities, like Kissimmee, or volunteer events, like Day of Caring, I am proud of the deep compassion our employees have for the needs of others.”
