Power Quality Investigation Workshop

Overview

This training session will provide attendees an overview of power quality issues encountered by utilities and will discuss strategies for analysis and mitigation. Training will be led in part by Chris Mullins, President of Power Monitors, Inc. Chris will provide an overview of the PMI software and hardware.  This training will have something for anyone interested in PQ investigations. It is a great opportunity for members that utilize PMI equipment to conduct power quality studies.

About the Instructor

Chris Mullins is President at Power Monitors, Inc. in Mt. Crawford, VA.  Chris leads a company devoted to leading-edge product development to meet the needs of electric utilities and electricity end-users. His over 25 years at Power Monitors have provided him a deep background in electric power quality, power line communications, and electronic instrumentation design, and his work has resulted in patents in power line communications techniques, power quality instrumentation, and energy monitoring.  Chris is an active member of several IEEE standards groups, and has authored over 70 white papers on many power quality topics. He holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia.

Who Should Attend: Engineers and field personnel who conduct power quality investigations. Although some topics will center around the PMI hardware and software, registration is not limited to PMI customers.
