FMPA Volunteers Beautify Transitional Housing Facility in Orlando
ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 27, 2019 – Employees of the Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA) helped beautify a residential housing facility at Aspire Health Partners in Orlando as part of Heart of Florida United Way’s annual Day of Caring.
This is FMPA’s eleventh year participating in Day of Caring, Central Florida’s largest volunteer event. This year’s project involved landscaping improvements for Aspire Health Partners, which provides homeless individuals with transitional housing and behavioral health services.
“It is a privilege and a pleasure to serve others,” said FMPA General Manager and CEO Jacob Williams. “Whether our team members are working in their day jobs to provide low-cost, reliable electricity for millions of Floridians or volunteering at local service agencies, they are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people, and I couldn’t be prouder.”
