The 8-hour refresher course must be taken annually by those who have completed a 24 or 40-hour course.

This training will cover much of the same material in a condensed form, with little or no hands-on training required.

This course is intended for the individuals who will come in contact with hazardous substances.

It is also intended for those who will be working at contaminated sites without exposure to hazardous substances at or above the permissible limits in the Z Table from OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1000.

Hazardous substances included in Table Z:

1. Mineral oil
2. Diesel oil (benzene and formaldehyde) 

The certification from this 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher course is valid for up to 1 year.
