Participants will present a case study to the class. Through the analysis and debate of real-life case studies, participants will have the opportunity to review all cases and apply these introduced in class as well as their own experiences.

The course may be taken as an individual training or in pursuit of the TVPPA Utility Purchasing & Materials Management (UPMM) certificate. The UPMM curriculum is designed for public power purchasing personnel. Earning this certificate requires completing four courses, which are:

• Quantity, Quality, Pricing & Supplier Selection
• Work Order, Inventory & Plant
• Negotiations & Contracts
• Case Studies in Utility Purchasing
