The Excellence as a Supervisor Certificate Program is customized for municipal utilities. This training has been designed for first line supervisors, middle level supervisors and prospective supervisors.
Series I provides a thorough introduction to supervision goals and objectives, which is an effective way to give new supervisors the necessary skills to be successful.
The course will be presented by Jacque Booker of The Booker Group, Inc. Jacque will be focusing on the skills necessary to perform in the supervisory role.
The training consists of 3 modules.
Series I training dates are as follows:
- Module 1 – July 25 & 26, 2017
- Module 2 – August 8 & 9, 2017
- Module 3 – August 29 & 30, 2017
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day
Lunch and continental breakfast will be provided each day
Jacque Booker is a graduate of Cleveland State University where she received a bachelor of electrical engineering degree. She provides a full range of supervisory, management, organizational development, leadership and numerous special topic training programs, as well as, performs needs assessments for elected officials, managers, supervisors, and staff in state, local and federal government. Jacque worked for an electric utility company at a nuclear plant for several years. She spent more than 15 years in local governments performing various management roles. She has co-authored a court ordered Diversity Training Program for Columbus Police Department and continues to teach diversity classes for a number of safety services departments, governments, utilities and public entities. Jacque is a certified mediator for the states of Georgia, Florida and Alabama, as well as a certified Myers-Briggs instructor. She also performs individualized executive coaching sessions, and facilitates meetings and retreats.
