FMPA administrates the Transmission Connection Process for itself and on behalf of All Requirements participants that own bulk electric system transmission facilities (i.e., 100 kV and higher).

In this role, FMPA:

  • Administers the connection application process

  • Leads the performance of connection studies (Connection Feasibility, System Impact and Facilities Study)

  • Leads negotiations for the Connection and Operations Agreement

  • Administers the Connection and Operations Agreement.


Applications will be processed in the order they were received in the FMPA Connection Queue. The Transmission Connection Process applies to connection of generation, transmission and end use facilities to the transmission system.
