Mark J. Larson

Mark J. Larson, CPA is Assistant General Manager, Finance and Information Technology and CFO for the Florida Municipal Power Agency, a position he has held since October 2009. Larson joined FMPA in 2002 and has held several positions during his tenure, including Assistant General Manager, CFO and Risk Manager, and Director of Finance.

Larson has 27 years of experience in municipal utility finance. Prior to joining the Agency, he was Director of Finance of the Greenville, N.C., Utilities Commission for more than 10 years.

Larson is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, the North Carolina Association of Government Finance Officers, and the Government Finance Officers Association of U.S. and Canada.

Larson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree from North Texas State University, now known as University of North Texas, and a master’s degree in public administration from East Carolina University. He also holds the designation of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the state of North Carolina.
